I'm the pauper (after paying for it) and below is the princess And in a classic 70's BL stance, one side on the bump stops 1 owner from new, not sure on the millage, it says 16K but that could be 116K or 216 for all i know cos there's no history appart from the owner spent 15 years at her majistys pleasure and died a few weeks backs after being "out" for a few years, the car sat in his garage round the back of his house and was being driven up till DEC 08 when his illness prevented him from diving anymore. I went with me racer mate who beileive it or not didn't fancy it ? 100 of my (last) english pound notes and for some unknow reason i now own a bloody 2200 HLS, i promised meself after the last one i'd never own another prin-bloody-cess especialy a autpobleedingmatic DOH More pics tomorrow when i tow it home followed by stupid question about 70's BL suspension ;D

I've yet to see a Princess given "the treatment". i think they have potential! Classic colour too! Is the 2200 the transverse six-pot?

I've never driven a 2200, apparently they are as smooth as silk.
The suspension didn't get christened Hydrasag for nothing. Great when it's working properly though.
I had a pageant Blue O-Series powered 2000HL about 20 years ago, cost me £40 and another £20 to get it MOT'd, used it every day for 6 months then sold for £110 through the local car auction. Wasn't a bad car at all, and great on the motorway despite only having four gears.
That one looks straight, the front arches are usually first to dissolve, that one looks remarkably good.
Good luck with it!!!

I'd happily smoke about in a 2200 wedge. Are the 2200 five stud or still four? I know it looks like four in the pics but I'm guess the nuts might be part of the wheel trim. If it's four then it'll be 114.3 PCD, so perfect for fitment of some hot JDM rimmage. Although I'm not really much of a fan of Boso style, I reckon it'd work a treat on a wedge.

Top purchase Love the old transverse six pot. I had a 2200 crab years ago and the engine was superb. Lovely sound when pressing on and silky smooth.

The engine is bloody huge, the one i had was an 1800, a lot smaller, this is the first time i've had anything to do with the 6 pot, i hope i aint too old to learn. I wish i knew why i bought the thing, i cant stand em

Although I'm not really much of a fan of Boso style, I reckon it'd work a treat on a wedge. Custom Car Magazine did a similar thing circa 1979 And from the same competition. High on my list of 'want to mod'

Strangely, my favourite thing about this old wedges is the wheels, they look excellent when they're polished and detailed.

not sure on the millage, it says 16K but that could be 116K or 216K Pretty sure it's not 216K, it's a BL product after all. ;D

Stuffed a good battery on it, cleaned the points, cranked for bleeding ages and eh voliars, she ran ;D That's a big old engine for a FWD At least it aint beige ;D Actually i rather think i miss beige One small problem, the fuel hose had rotted, fortunatly on the 8th day god invented gaffa tape I was gutted about 1 thing, i bought a tenna's worth of petrol then discoverd it had 3/4 of a tank already in there, ran well enough to make to the "pre booked" garage for MOT work, the brakes did fade about 15 miles into the journey but the hand brake made it the last 1 never overheated, idled well and actually sounded quite nice when revved ;D shame it looks sooooo err cheeeeeasy
