Hello Hello I'm looking at getting rid of My Volvo 480 for a 90s Cabrio, been looking at Saabs, BMWs and some Peugeots lol I'm just struggling with insurance, with me being just the wrong side of 21... So... I ask... does anyone have a cabrio here, who's it insured with and how much do you pay? I'm looking for a daily too... ;D PleaseandThanks! Ryan ;D

kind of.
Ive got a soft top SJ, but its not really the "push a button and the top goes up and down" thing. Its more of a case of, take the top off in the summer, put it back on in winter, it involves bolts and about half an hour.

My Renault 19 Cabrio is a 1994, but insured with Lancaster as a cherished car. Basically £170 a year fully comp. Thye wanted 3 times that for a Megane Cabrio. Also my car is capable of 130mph, has good acceleration and averages around 40 mpg. They are cheap as chips too.

What are MX5's like for you on insurance have you tried? UK models tend to be cheaper than imported Eunos's my gf has a MK1 MX5, she's 20 and pays just over £600 a year fully comp for it. Excellent handling, super strong engines and look fully awesome, can't do much wrong with em tbf!
What about MK4 Escorts etc.?

I'd LOVE an MX5, but I need rear seats for children carrying at the moment, once my gf gets a car that'll definately be my next stop ;D . For now, i've just put a deposit down on a saab 9-3, managed to find one decent quote from the post office but it's taken a while. I'm hoping to use it now to try and blag some cheaper quotes from others Thanks so far guys!

Citroen 2CV? OK it isn't a proper cabrio, but insurance is cheap and you'd get to be involved with what must be the most mental bunch of car owners I've ever witnessed. ;D
