Still grinning! Now I remember just why enjoy driving old cars so much. you can feel everything through the steering, and absolute hoot to drive. A few of the specs for those that are in to specs and stuff! 1972 BMW 2002 Tii 2 litre tii engine, running Omex programmable ecu, coil and ignition from a mondeo. E21 5 speed overdrive box E21 LSD 13" x 7j Minilites. Approx 150bhp Polybushed all round. That's the basics of it for starters! and now a few pics

Beautiful really nice. Can you elaborate more on the Ignition side of things....I guess it's wasted spark. Are you using a crank angle sensor? Have you modded the orginal inlet manifold or is it from something else?

Have you modded the orginal inlet manifold or is it from something else? All the modifications have been done by a chap local to me. I'll be getting the full spec and build up of it over the next week or 2 when I get back round to his to pick them up. Inlet manifold is standard though which does cause it to run a little lumpy on cold start. Omex have a mod available which adds an air intake valve to the inlet manifold which will eliminate the lumpy cold start although that costs £150 plus fitting.

That is spot on!! Love the 2002 and this one just seems to have realised all the potential they have. Just awesome, well done. So, is it a brand new purchase then?

Aye, RS2 sold last year to a chap in Jordan but it's still in the UK as he's having the engine totally rebuilt by AVP and is aiming to get 1000bhp out of the 5 pot lump. The bill so far alone stands him more than what we sold the car for!!

So, is it a brand new purchase then? purchased at 11am today! filled up the tank, drove lots and then filled up the tank again! I've known the car for a while as he's local to me and has been to a number of the Breakfast Club meets and local classic car meets, and I've always said to my mates when he's turned up in the past, that if that car ever came up for sale, i'd have it. As luck would have it, it did! Had to shift my Audi quattro to free up the dosh to buy her, but every kid likes to change their toys from time to time! Chap I bought it off is a very talented old boy engineer who's a total petrol head and extremely talented having driven BMW's for 30+ years! He did all the work himself apart from the paint.

Gorgeous Beemer for sure - looks amazing. Always loved the BMW ??02s. Nearly bought a 1971 1602 a few years ago that I was going to kit up to look like the Tii - wish I had done now after seeing your pics. Loving the photos as well btw.
