Nope, never seen it before. Personally, I always use zinc primer for any parts susceptible to rusting.

Inside or out? It is fuel resistant but not sure if resistant enough as an internal coating. Used spray and dip before, it's good stuff for certain things.

its for the outside
just thinking while its mint i need to sort it properly , but i fear that stuff might peel and make it worse in the long run
maybe scuff , zinc , stonechip then some gloss enamel

Have you ever seen powder coating where water has got underneath so it LOOKS sound but in fact the metal has rusted away ? This it what you risk by using plasti dip. Fat better to give decent zinc based primer, top topcat and then antichip. For inside mix a large tub of red Hermatite with cellulose thinners to make a "sloshing sealer" to protect surfaces in contact with petrol. Just remember toallow a decent amout of time for it to dry.

Stonechip might be good. The plastic needs an etched or blasted surface. I'd trust a thick coat of it more than any paint, but difficult to apply thickly without looking like a dog's breakfast. Best but way ott would probs be galv then powdercoat as per industrial fabricators, then something rubbery/stonechip to absorb flying stones....

i like using waxoil for sole reason that it makes it really easy to spot a leak if it ever does happen. keep your tank full and decent paint on outside and it shouldn't ever really rust out!
