its called a "supertrapp" silencer. you can put them on so you can tune how loud your car is by inserting more or less discs into it. so if your car is too loud at noise test for a track then you can stick more discs in to make it pass

I think that Volvos of that age are 5x108mm (older stuff, ie PVs, Amazons & B18 engined P1800S are 5x4.5"). I've seen Pentas on a 262C, so I guess that they were available to fit Volvos, rather than those being Merc wheels with adaptors / redrilled hubs. |

Original wheels with 5x108mm He has also had some on a merc, thats 5x112, and on a opel, thats 5x120. It seems they came in some different fittings, i want a set of 9x16`s (if that exists) for my rekord, in 5x120  |

being that these wheels seem to be the hot topic of this thread, I have a set just like these at work, from a 190. they are aftermarket D&W rims. might be of interest. is the second pic an early barracuda? bar-bar-ra-ra-cu-cu-da-da! sex. |

yep. its a 64/65 Cuda, great sound and a very funky blue tint windows  shame it got its backside kicked by the Brits(Mini in front, Tina sliding down the inside)   |
