Earlier this year I managed to finally beat my good lady into submission and con her into agreeing to marry me.
The "big day" is next year in August in Northumberland, and I have been given the responsibility of finding the wedding car. Now, I'm not one for dong things by halves, and while there are some gorgeous classic out there, I think given my car history, and how much of a petrol head I am, a snorting hotrod is the order of the day.
Searching round using my Google-Fu has yeilded nothing so far, so can anyone on here offer advice, a direction to go in or any help? Anyone on here own a nice hotrod, or something unusual, who would like to make a few quid? Or know someone who does?
Any help would be gratefully received.

Well, if you lived in Australia there would be no trouble: vsplugins.com/clients/hotrod/gallery.htmlNo, it's not just the lighting. The same company actually has two '29 Dodge limousines, one silver and one gold. www.hotrodheaven.com.au/limo.htmlGood luck, and keep looking. There are plenty of vintage/classic/hot-rod limousines for hire out there. Have you tried going old-school and using the phonebook? It's remarkable what a few phone calls can achieve sometimes.

Torment, I work offshore and rodsnsods is blocked by our wonderfully efficient IT department, so can't post on there until I get home, I'm already a member over there. It is only a matter of time before this site too is banned for no particular reason just like RodsnSods, VZi... I'm stopping there before I really start ranting! lol! Besides, there are some lovely cars on here too, nothing wrong with "casting the net" and seeing what I catch is there? Waveman, the first an last pic are exactly what I am looking for! ;D We are preferably looking for somehting V8, either something Model T, Pop', Siddely-esque or something large and American, or even something British and nicely executed. A few examples of the TYPE of thing I am looking for: So really, gangster, hot rot, quite a broad spectrum really. What you got, peeps? ;D

No joy on carandclassic.co.uk yet, still sifting through the site but a curse word seach function, too many adverts and a bunch of dead ends are making it difficult.

Look around andr ask the owner of a car you like the look of. I got roped in to doing a wedding for a mate's sister last weekend. Worth noting that whilst someone may volunteer their car, they might not be truly insured if they are remunerated in some form (i.e. for reward). I've had one of my neighbours ask me to do a wedding for his daughter who I don't know. I refused on the basis that I wasn't insured. Here's mine, excuse the colouring, I was messing about in photobucket

Yes I am aware of the insurance implications, which is why I'm not just asking random people who's car I like to do it. Of course, should someone volunteer their services as a favour which I am sure I could repay in som way, that is an entirely different thing... ;D

Earlier this year I managed to finally beat my good lady into submission and con her into agreeing to marry me. I thought that usually worked the other way around? ;D I know someone who may be able to help and have sent him a link to this thread.

Hi,
May be able to help. I have 2008 Bullitt Mustang, but if you want something older, then have quite a few contacts who have 32 fords, thunderbirds etc etc. Please let me know the exact date, as August can be the middle of the "show season".
cheers
kevin
