Kind of inevitable that alloys are gonna get scratched / kerbed / otherwise buggered up, but it doesn't make it any less irritating when it happens. And the only person I can blame for it is me and my careless parking! Right, well I'm glad I got that off my chest. Right then, what other part of my car can I fook up this weekend...

Bad luck! I once managed to wreck a wheel with over use of the handbrake, and a kerb. Four inch long slice of wheel left behind......

Well... The A112 is the first car I've had that has alloys... And the've been seriously kerbed... I have to find the time (and courage) to repair them with some filler, primer and paint... All my previous cars had nice, kerb-proof, steels... But I did manage to crack two Lada wheels [not my fault, they're made of very thin metal] and bend two 106R wheels [not my fault, the huge pothole was right on the apex of the turn]

That's why I use nice thick 7x13 Weller steels. I don't trust myself. Besides, standard Imp steels are poxy thin tiny things, and Wellers look mental!

Just changed a flat tyre on my brothers Wolseley Hornet and have just discovered 2 of the Mamba alloys destroyed by some curse word in a tyre fitters who smashed lumps of them by hammering on lead weights on the inside of the rim GRRR!!!

I want to get mine professionally refurbed when I get enough free cash (a long wait I think...) I did mine myself with plenty of NitroMors and elbow grease! Not perfect, but it makes it all the more irritating when I mess up my own hard work!! Never mind, one day they'll be all sparkly-nice, and I'll buy a set of kerb feelers!
