Got a free pass from SWMBO and my 6wk old daughter to go and spend a few hours standing in the mud of Aldershot for the Tempest Rally. Its right on my door step and I've been going for a few years now. Rushmoor Arena (where Wheels Day is held) provides the service park and one of the stages so I headed there first, the 2WDs were just leaving so I nabbed a few photos. Bit excessive for a daytime rally! Noisy, wide bodied Fiesta Tidy Avenger Very tidy RX7 sadly ended up on its roof later in the day Wouldn't be a rally with out a MK1 Escort Tiny Clubman ;D

205 Maxi that belongs to a mate of Mr Damaged And Jordan's bloke seemingly . . . That Freelander's a crazy idea. I love it! Cheers for the piccies, as ever, Mr Speedman. Amazing how standing in a forest in the freezing cold can seem like a better proposition than changing nappies at home!

That Freelander's a crazy idea. I love it! There were two of them entered, last year the Army had a fleet of Defenders running, not sure who was running these Cheers for the piccies, as ever, Mr Speedman. Amazing how standing in a forest in the freezing cold can seem like a better proposition than changing nappies at home! lol, I did change a real stinker before I left the house

There were two of them entered, last year the Army had a fleet of Defenders running, not sure who was running these I loved the Defenders, slowest thing around the stage but they took lines that no other car could; through potholes in the track rather than around They were part of some sort of Armed Forces 4wd challenge weren't they? I saw the Freelanders at the Sunseeker a couple of years ago, the KV6-engined ones make a beautiful noise. Cracking pics as usual

1989 Peugeot 205. You know, the one that was parked in a ditch on the campsite at RRG'17... the glass is always full. but the ratio of air to water may vary.

I think the Freeland is the one that was in this or last month's PPC mag.
If I recall it is run by the chap that owns one of the aluminium (sp) fabrication companies. It had a very nice write up.
As for the Army Defenders, I've seen them on the Sunseeker for the last couple of years. As you say, they seem to really enjoy pressing-on when everyone else was backing off!
