I feckin love V8s (or any engine) with an idle that sounds like its barely able to keep running, but once the gas comes on, all hell breaks loose into the most perfectly balanced power curve... Once my V8 is done it will be getting a cam so lumpy it will look like a deformed treebranch...
So lets see the best examples!!!
Heres some from me to kick things off:
Clearly kept up at 2k or so to maintain the engine running!
An oldy but still relevant
Any others?

Some nice sounding videos there overdrive. I'm not sure about the TransAm though Autofive, it just sounds broken to me! Seems to be idling very smoothly at low revs, but sounds like it's got no exhaust on it at all. I'll try to contribute something different which doesn't have a V8, sacriledge though it may be.
The four-banger sounds alright, it's no V8 but interesting for sure.

Waveman, it doesnt have to be V8! As long as it hits the criteria of appaling idle vanishing to fantastic revrange...
I think your vid safely ticks those boxes! Lovely Rod!

Not as impressive as its still got the standard flywheel keeping it running. But I cant wait to get my other engine in with fancy head, lightend flywheel and bike carbs

Lumpy V8's ftw
The last vid proves that a holiday to the Detroit autorama would be the stuff of dreams.

Violet, that Monaro sounds like Satan wanking. Epic...
StealthStylz, i agree. Looks like a pimp convention on acid! That has to be the lumpiest idle yet....
