My submission:  ........a 2.6L Ford 4-cam Indy Turbo V8, generating somewhere in the region of (if not over) 1000BHP. Not your usual layout but I've seen a few like that! |

you could always bolt two 3 litre essex lumps together? That's exactly what I thought when I saw it. The website says a lot about torque but nothing at all about weight, looks like a big lump of iron to me. How many gallons to the mile? |

I'm a big engine anorak.
Cummins 220. Get one of these, and you too can re-enact 'Duel'.
Detroit Diesel 12V71 fitted in the Blastolene 'Pi55'd Off Pete'.
Napier 'Deltic' 18-cylinder 2-stroke with THREE crankshafts.
1956 AEC Regent bus with an AEC 470 7.7 litre diesel
And finally.....
Check the flames from the exhausts on each of the FOUR Wright R-3350 18-cylinder radial engines fitted to this Lockheed Super Constellation. Over 850 'Connies' served on transcontinental flights from 1945 until the late 1950's, and on internal US flights until 1967. For me, one of the most evocative sounds ever, from one of the world's most beautiful iconic aircraft.

That Lancia Triflux engine has to be the coolest thing on earth! ;D Jag quad cam V12  BMW M12/13... 1.5l - 1400BHP  And - my favourite. Volume UP! (recorded from the box, at Goodwood IIRC) |
