where to start heaters only get mildly warm and don't blow hard enough to get to 90% of the windscreen. button on handbrake leaver doesn't work making the handbrake useless. the rev counter doesn't work. the bulb over the speedo doesn't working making it almost impossible to see at night. the fuel gauge no longer seems to go above the red (although this could be more to do with the price of diesel ) the rear passenger door handle is hanging off so i have to leave the child lock on it meaning it can't be opened. the driver's front door handle has to be pushed in as you pull the lever or it doesn't open (not found any one else that can open it lol). part of the gear selector is warn so you have to be careful when putting it into 1st at a junction because it will go into reverse without you knowing. plus the constantly expanding amount of knocks, bang's and creeks. and no doubt a lot of other little bit's i've forgotten. still wouldn't dream of getting rid of it tho

ok so discs keep warping on the front and despite being mondeo v6 discs and calipers are still curse word! roof leeks slightly on the passenger side despite tightening it up, new bushes and shocks all round but still handles like they are shot, gear linkage rod has so much play i constanly miss 3rd gear! clutch needed doing way back in febuary its now like a switch and judders like a curse word from cold, diff bearings need doing as do the driveshaft seals, oil seal in the dizzy leeks, to demist the window bluetack has to be stuck over the demist button, i have one black alloy and the drivers door has a large dent! have a replacement door needs paint. and i think thats it! love my car tho its my daily and have just got some nice twin 40s

My daily Datsun is a really rubbish car. The only reason I drive it is because I've committed to insuring it for another year as I was too slow to sort out a better daily. It's really curse word, it's the 2nd worse car I've owned.
There's nothing really wrong with it other than a few small niggles but its just not satisfactory in most areas.

No offense to the OP but what you have there is a pretty modern car & I wouldn't put up with any problems like that. My daily is a 20yr old Jetta with no problems apart from a slightly noisy heater, get rid & get a proper car

well where do I start :/ Dutton.. no stereo, no point as you couldn't hear it above the general noise anyway Brakes fair but you need to be a bit further back than most and quoting Dom, "both doors sound like the Titanic scraping against the iceberg". Sunroof is an ally sheet held in with duct tape and pop rivets. leaks every where including a 6" hole behind the gear lever. Gearing means I can't go more 75mph.. no carpets or roof lining or heater or dash illumination or fuel gauge or ......... Triumph everytime I look at it I find more rust, acceleration is fluffy with clouds of smoke one minute then fine the next? heater is pushing towards luke warm demister fan is pushing towards a light summer breeze play in the wipers means the blades smack the screen seal on every stroke or stop half way down There is more clunks, knocks and whines in the drive train than there is parts! front discs have a black coating on which I reckon is polished rust so they are a tad down on performance no carpets and holes in the floor make your feet cold when you accelerate in the morning you get wet feet from all the water leaked in behind the dash over night MPG is currently less than 20 :/ steering is vague due to worn rack and ball joints sell them, frag them? you must be joking ;D

And as pointed out the majority of these problems are easily fixed if i could be bothered! ;D

DAF I forgot to add that my fuel gauge reading depends entirely on what type of hill I'm on or whether I'm turning left or right ;D Exhaust is perpetually blowing Belts sound like your running over a million crisp packets for the first 100yds but are whisper quiete after that Gear selector linkage is a tad on the loose side meaning that you often miss reverse and end up having to switch off select forwards and try again
Triumph Most of the niggles are now sorted apart from putting the headlights and wipers on at the same time is too much for the dynamo
