Apologies if this has ben done before, but I couldn't find anything when I searched :-) I am thinking very first rides- for example when I was born in 1977 I went home in my dads Mk2 Cortina Estate, like this: My own kids didn't get anything as cool: 1998- My 88 Sierra Saphirre 2001- My 98 Avensis like this 2008- My 91 Fiesta Ghia Auto 2009- My Pug Partner I reckon some of you, or your kids, will have made that first journey in style :-) Lets see!

When I was born my parents had an old Austin Westminster so I guess my first ride would have been in that. My oldest was born in 1994 and we had an MGB GT at the time (sold very soon after as not exactly practical) ;D When my 2nd was born in '99 we had a Mazda 323, it was 12 years old then and I frequently see it driving around so it's still going strong

Currently driving a 1972 BMW 1602 as my daily. Don't ask about previous cars - there have been way too many and I stopped counting at 160!

Well, my first ride home was in my parents' car at the time, which was a two-door Landcruiser which had just recently done a lap of Australia in the mid '80s. Yes, I know I'm a young'un. Something similar to this, although it was khaki and less shiny.

My dad had a mini Cooper when I was born. It was white with a black roof and he loved it.

Would've been something like this: Triumph Herald estate, bought new in 1966, I came along a year later... feeling old now Doesn't seem quite the right shade of red, can't google anything closer...

My dad must have had his Saab 900 at the time, so not a bad start in life. but in black of course. Unless someone says this model doesn't pre-date '86.

I'll have to dig out my old man's photos and scan them, but I'm pretty sure I came home from hospital in either a Honda ActiVan or a 2.8 Grandad. At the same time he had a Gilbern Invader MkII and very shortly afterwards a Fiesta Supersport. Not a bad start I reckon.

May 1987, I came home in a Nissan Cherry very similar to this one I believe. Although it may of possibly been a beige Montego, I think they were in transition. The Cherry was passed on to my Grandad to replace his Yugo.
