It's alright doing it once, but you've gotta keep motivated FOUR times!

Would love a guide. I am trying to do the smae for my cloverleaf escort wheels. The old paint is just NOT coming off using wet and dry. Was planning on getting them media blasted, and then using finer and finer abrasives to get a polished surface.

The method ratta uses is the same as i use and its quite easy to do! But makes one hell of a mess! Ratta sells the stuff to polish your own all you need is an angle grinder and beveled discs polishing disc and some compounds!

You sir are a pervert! I've done my slotmags and started on a set of mesh compomotives but gave up on just the rims. Fair play though as those revos especially look the dart. Bruce, you're a whole different kind of pervert for those Delica wheels

that looks good, i think i'd get bored after 1 so would end up with 1 mint wheel and 3 bad ones.
i was thinking of making my own polisher, i saw someone used an old lawn mower engine bolt to the work bend with polishing pads fitted to it.
but i can't be bothered and will just paint the wheel silver.

not just me then, I am embarassed to say it took about 15 minutes to do four of these wheels, using a tube of autosol and a electric anglegrinder/mop machine . If only they'd stay like it, in a year or less they need doing again which means taking the valve out to do it properly, some wheels are designed so the valve is not in the way of the machined areas. (nice)
