Hello, I was told about this forum by a guy called Lee whose Masterace I will hopefully be buying and I liked the look of it so thought I'd join up Currently own a 1986 MR2, though it's off the road for winter at the moment! Here are some pics of it Cheers!

That is freakin AWESOME!! Always liked the white/grey Mk1's but with those wheels and in that condition.....I'm lost for words. I cannot believe I'm about to say this, but I think it looks so right at that ride height. I'm a massive fan of lowered cars, I think slammed Mk1's look great, but yours just looks so right as it is. Nice location and pics too

Thanks for the kind comments! Too right the summer can't come quick enough - it's sitting with a cover on it just now under a thick coating of snow :/ Can't wait to get it out and about again! Really liking the forum - love old school cars! Had a MK2 XR2 before the MR2 also - didn't own it for all that long so not got many pics of it!

Wow- lovely. I had a mint condition supercharged mk1's . The last of - 1990. It was exactly the same colour. boy it was great! fantastic cars.
My brother in Bristol has just bought one- he too is keeping it off the road till ice has gone.
I agree- it looks great at that height.

Hey thats a stunner, hope the grot situation is as well as it looks. Makes me really inspired I still have one of these, a lot rougher than yours mind! Nice one. It could use a lower stance but on the flip side Its nice to see one looking chunky and subtle good on ya.

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

Cheers again! As for the rot situation, it used to be like this: Before the previous owner carried out the following work: And used it as his wedding car ;D The respray isn't the best - the silver paint has some runs and the white paint is a bit orange-peely, but I intend to have that sorted come spring So long as the rust has been seen to, I'm not so concerned Plus it has 58,000 on the clocks!

The guy that owned it before me is called Mark and from Cardiff - as far as I'm aware he's not on here but he might be!
He's on MR2MK1Club.com and possibly IMOC though?

I love this colour combination. As Bruce said, just works with the rims/stance too. Welcome to RR ;D
