Me and The Good Lady are having a shuffle about with cars at the moment. I want to drive my Volvo daily again, Fiesta's getting some F.I.R.E in its belly and in the meantime, she'll need asnotter cheap yet delightful car to get to work in.
Before I start.. Dyane has but weeks of MOT left and it does need a couple bits. A quick inspection at home leads me to think it would fail on
pair rear tyres
Welding to sill within a foot of a seatbelt mount. Part of the body, not chassis (I'm happy to buzz that up)
fecked CV boots
possibly a worn kingpin. It got an advisory last year and I've kept it well greased since my ownership but it may be enough to fail it now.
Simple stuff, and if nobody fancies swapping their dull late 80s/early 90s hatchback for it in the meantime, I'll do the necessary for an MOT and sell it on with a full 12 months for what I bought it for. The sort of swap I'm proposing puts it in 3-400 bracket I guess, which seems fair to me.
