Thats my old car! Its ex plod, and had full leather that was worn all the way round (i.e. back seats). Seems to have lost its towbar somewhere along the line. I sold it for £400 about 2 years ago I think. I've also owned about 10 xr4x4s in my time. What happened to the sierra?

I had a similar age, similar colour (mine was purpleydarkblue) T5 auto estate last year, on 221,000miles. Was lowered and on 18"Lenso alloys, really usefull car, very thirsty but I miss it It was like driving an armchair, sooooooooo comfy! Sold it for £400 odd after i'd put a new radiator in it, bargain!

This is a manual, and had 145,000 miles on it when i owned it. Like the 2.0 s70 i owned at the same time, it drove 100% spot on.

it's got 168000 miles on it now and i done the pcv valve about 2 weeks after buying it and gave it a full service and still drives spot on leather is worn but i treated it and done a repair on the seats but will put new trim in it when i get chance to,the towbar was removed before i got it and spent a few weeks looking for a manual one and nearly bought a green one but so glad i got the blue. Thanks for the kind comments guys it's in good condition but would like a few bits done to tidy it more. I sold the xr4x4 to a couple from yorkshire that was made up with it but i do miss it especially when we had snow as the xr was great in the snow even recovered my mates car that got stuck in the snow. brigsport did you buy it from the police when you bought it? that would explain why the trim was so worn, and do you know what they used it for? Thanks endo

I bought it off an old guy who used it to tow his caravan, and i sold it to a trader from bradford way. No idea what the cops used it for, unmarked traffic car would be my guess.

nice t5 paul 24v, bet you will miss the xr when it's gone as I do miss mine sometimes. so what have you done to the engine then paul? To be truthful, yes, I will miss the XR, but she hasn't been on the road for 5 years now, and will possibly be broken up for spares. The T5 has had a complete engine rebuild with H section rods, forged pistons, p+p head and piper cams, with a GT 3071 turbo. Gripper diff and AP Racing brakes, so not much really!

Yer not much just the wallet is now empty.lol poor old xr being broken. you would be surprised how much they are worth now and with a 24v do good money, i sold mine too cheap really but i had the volvo so it had to go as missus wouldn't drive the sierra as she said it was to fast for her what she meant was it was terrible on fuel and the volvo is better on fuel just only if i keep my lead boots off.

I might put it up for sale here. As for being worth a lot, nobody is interested

done a few little bits this year on the car. Fitted new Alpine speakers to the doors in stock location and waiting to fit the Kicker sub and then do some more ice. fitted K&N filter in drilled airbox removing cone filter. Carbon wrapped the door strips and boot handle and just got some 7.5x18" alloys and shod them with some new 225/40 tyres. moose badges and clear repeaters fitted Here's my toy and even fits in the back to go shows with just went to a show at weekend and had car and bike on display there
