I'm not one for getting though many cars. Some like to change cars monthly, I don't, here's my little 10 year story.
The morning of 27th Jan, 2001! My dad took me to where my brother worked, Carland in Cannock! Pointed to a little white Fiesta tucked up the corner of the carpark looking sorry for its self and said "How's that?"
It was sheddy, but it was also my first car, the best looking thing on the road!
It had been part exchanged in there for a 3 year old Clio, my brother had scored a deal with the trade valuer and it was all ours, a 13 year old Fiesta for £150! Me being 16 at the time couldnt do much but jump in the passenger side as my brother drove it home, where it would sit until I passed my test later that year!
Fast fwd 10 years and here we are! Still got it! So much history, so many memories good ones and bad ones, happy one and sad ones. Some good laughs, and some major stressin'. Been though thick and thin! It could certainly tell a story or three! Been in 4 different lock ups, seen college, and my 4 jobs and a million other places along the way.
It's put up with all my fads and stupid ideas! Bad modifications and good ones, it's been though the back of a mk3 Fiesta, and repaired again It's seen its replacements come, and go along with every other "Project" and daily hack in between! We've almost parted ways so many times I cant remember!
We've only done 30,000 miles together, it might as well be 130,000 miles! She's as close to finished as she's been for years! From this point on, it's time to get some miles in and enjoy, make some more memories this year and every year, fingers crossed!
Here's to another 10 years!
I know all the love is for the Mk1's and don't get me wrong, I love mk1's. Had many my self over the years, But mk2's have always been number 1 for me for obvious reasons! So have some mk2's, Starting with mine taken a couple of weeks back ;D
and more ;D
