Made me laugh on Top Gear when they did that guys.....you don't need £100.000 to modd anything So why did they make a big deal out of it?? oh yeah..cos they went to LOTUS do something in your garage like most people do!!!!

I'm wondering if anyone has any info on a Lada Riva that was about in the Early Noughties. It had a Fiat Twink engine, Uprated suspension, Leather Buckets and most interestingly had been converted to a Hatchback using Samara Parts. Apparently it was Bright red and had quite a substantial Stereo. Just wondering if anyone can remember it and/or has any pictures. I remember reading about that car on another forum a few years ago , didn't it have £8000 worth of 'I.C.E' installed and Max Power were going to feature it ? I think a Tynemouth bouncer used to own it . I'll have a good look through all my old Max Powers for it .

I used to own a bright orange Lada 1200 which I thought was the biz in 1983. I must find some pics of it to show you guys. Would have been great with a universal turbo fitted.

I don't actually know the one you mean, but I know Lada Rivas are cool. I may be a little biased though.

Its got nowt to do with it being built by Lotus, its the cost of the man hours, when my ex's mk1 escort got "Overhauled" over a long weekend we worked out it would have cost £40,000 in wages, plus it had fresh built HT racing pinto in that would have cost £7000 had HT not donated it, a complete inside and out respray would easily have cost 3 grand theres half your hundred grand without all the body restoration and suspension, wheels, interior, etc etc, and that was by guys who build cars in garages.

Volvo back as my main squeeze, more boost and some interior goodies on the way.
