I was recently made aware of the existence of these cars. The first generation ones are beautiful.
I'd kind of persuaded myself to buy something more practical, now I am unsure again...!

I had an old 820 as a second car once and apart from the dash falling apart and the head gasket giving up I quite like it, at the time a lot of car for very little money

I love the shape of these cars. If I could afford to run one I would have one.

Thanks for the kind comments peeps Any plans for it to be dropped slightly? I have toyed with the idea of some lowering springs but not sure really. I'd also like to change the wheels.

Lovely. If you haven't yet seen the vid of Tony Pond taking one of these around the Isle of Man at 100mph, seek it out. It's why I'd really like one - especially if it was as tidy as yours!

I had an 820 turbo Vitesse saloon a few years ago & loved it even though it had a ferocious appetite for gearboxes!

I love the style of these cars; they're far better looking than the facelifted ones.

Very nice example of a classic car. Please resist the requests to slam, paint it matt black or fit banded wheels to it. Not enough good ones of these left to treat it in such a way.

I hear what your saying, If and its a BIG IF I were to lower it and or change the wheels I would keep the stock items so she could be returned to standard spec. Thanks for all comments

my folks had an 820 Si (with the full fat 16v multipoint injection) when I was 18 years old. it went like stink!!
the dash fell apart, the powersteering rack popped, it wouldn't idle at the proper idle speed (it would either try 200 or 2000 revs...), but I loved it dearly.
they replaced it with a mk2 fastback, but that was much less fun, with superlight (and super numb) power steering, more weight and less grunt.......
I always fancied the turbo diesel one........

I borrowed one of these years ago when I lived in Germany I had to come back to the UK 2 weekends in a row, 1600 mile round trip each weekend for a stag do and wedding! It was the most comfortable car I've evr driven bar none (and I've had BMs, Merc,s Fords you name it) 8 hours in the driving seat and felt fresh as the proverbial daisy!! Anyway, yours looks sweet as, like someone said you really don't see a lot of these around nowadays!

LOVE IT. Don't ruin it with cack-handed "mods". It's awesome as it is.

Don't think I'll lower her, but I might put some different wheels on.
