I've got a couple of these which I've had a few years. They've lasted pretty well.

I'm struggling to see any cool retro content in a spanner roll...... same with the Aldi thread mate, but thats not the point, its about cheap usable items to help keep your tools safe (just like the other thread about a tool roll with spanners)

Good post! I keep meaning to sort through on the Dutton and make up a spanner roll of just the spanners I need for a trackday rather than lug a huge box around.

I'm struggling to see any cool retro content in a spanner roll...... A canvas roll to keep your spanners in is a bit more retro than one of these:

I'm struggling to see any cool retro content in a spanner roll...... thats not really what RR is about though, its mainly about seeing achingly cool cars that you would sell a kidney for

Retro? Roll up tool storage? You need a Rolykit! ;D That's SO cool...and since moving a lot all of my tools down to A52, I've been looking for something suitable to store tools at home again when I start buying some more. Found one on eBay....and bidding on it ;D Please be kind to me and don't start bidding too much against me, I could really do with this. Thanks Ed

If you don't score that one I can muster a spare one for you There is another type too that has a box built into the base for storing larger tools.

I'm struggling to see any cool retro content in a spanner roll...... I'd have thought a tool roll like this was very Retro - this was the preferred method of storing tools in many cars of the distant past - I reckon you're just too young to remember

The Internet, like all tools, if used improperly, can make a complete bo**cks of even the simplest jobs...

If anyone else has one I'd like one! Also saw the ebay one and thought "hmm I wonder if a group of RRs are going to end up bidding each other mad!"

Retro? Roll up tool storage? You need a Rolykit! ;D Isn't it funny how seeing something can transport you back 25 years. I remember my parents buying one of these for my Grandad when I was a wee lad (okay teenager)! Haven't seen one in YEARS.

The Rolykit website is still there ( www.rolykit.nl/Company/original.html), but I couldn't find anyone selling them, so I emailed the company. The response I got was ' Unfortunately we no longer manufacture the Rolykits. We stopped production a couple of years ago due to lack of demand.'. I suspect on thread on a niche-interest website isn't going to convince them to start making them again, but I've sent them a link to this thread anyway. I'd never heard of them before seeing this thread, but I'll be keeping an eye out on eBay from now on.
