Once the pub bottle is empty, have a look in your yellow pages for fire extinguisher service agents.
I get my pub bottles re-filled with C02 from a fire extinguisher place for £7 a time.

Excellant, and there's even a locally built Imp in one of them! I will see if I can get a few pics of Linwood when it was open and try and do a couple of present shots if you are interested. As I'm only a short drive away and I have relatives who live beside the old factory it shouldnt be too hard. I used to pass the car plant on the train when going to my Grans in Johnston and remember the wagons loaded with cars. Dave.

Get some pipe lagging from B&Q, the grey stuff that comes in meter lengths and clip it on the edges then cover the lot with a big box that you might get out the bins at B&Q or somewhere that sells fridge freezers.

Snap, I bought exactly the same model but a couple of years younger as my daily a couple of months ago; The only things I have thought about changing are the height on the front as it looks a bit nose high and a nicer set of wheels. To be honest though, its a nice comfy drive so don't want to mess with the springs and a set of wheels would cost about as much as the car cost so it will probably stay as is and get sold next year. Dave.

Ok. Tell me more. I know NOTHING about these, apart from the fact that I'm now Underneath its a VW type 3 with a coach built body by Karmann. When new was a lot more expensive than a Porsche so didnt sell very well. I saw this fastback type 34 prototype at the old museum in Wolfsburg when I visited 4 years ago; Dave.

I will be sending them the bill and they did say if there was any damage they would pay for repairs so fingers crossed they honor their promise.
Glad somebody is still here,

I don't know if anybody is still following this thread but I'll post an update anyway.
I loaned my car to BBC Alba (Gaelic telly) yesterday for them to film a feature for their version of Top Gear.
I made it to the small sprint track and the sun was out, all going well until the TV presenter hit the gas instead of the brake going into a bend and took a detour through long, rough grass.
No real damage done (I hope) but managed to damage a brake line so the pedal went to the floor and the car came home on an RAC wagon.
The upside is that while they were filming so was I so I will be puting together another video in the next few weeks. Watch this space.
Dave.

To be honest, there's not much more to the interior and I didnt bother assembling the table as I the people who sold me it are good friends and had just been away in it so I know its been well looked after and works.
Previous owners are non smokers as am I so the inside is fresh and allthough the floor at the door is damaged there is no smell of damp and none of the inside panels show water damage.
There are all the pelmit parts for the curtains as well but didnt fit them for the pics.
I havent weighed it but according to the info I can find online it weighs 850kg.
Hope this helps,
Dave.

Cheers maxlee.
As an idea of how cheap it is, there is one the same at nearly £500 with 7 bids and 6 days to go on ebay.
Think thats where this one will end up if still for sale at the end of the week.

I have old VW's and an Audi A6 avant that could do with big alloys so WHY?
