side exit exhaust on the caddy as the main box broke and being on student budget I made my own kustom one....... kwality I thought .... bit too loud now for my taste . I am running the intermediate silencer on a 1600 diesel and as it goes through the power it gets really really loud , only found out when the girl firend wound down the passenger window on a run ,did not realise how loud it was , so any ideas for a cheap home brew baffle that would be "pop-in-able"? I was thinking a small sheet steel cone with lots of holes in it just to take out the boomieness and just drill and bolt it in to place ?

side exhausts rock . I had to make some from my diesel caddy when the oem system snapped, rather loud with an intermediate silencer only but like then rumble on tickover.

well as long as it was not super low it would not be too bad on a 4wheel drive i would think . I have only done 2 wheel drive pickups with cart sprung rears and coil sprung front

simple way would be lowering blocks which is quite easy aslong as it is cart sprung and lowerd springs up front. or you could bag it www.layitlow.com

It was a route I wanted to take in my early teens but ended up doing a film degree !!! ? of which I had no interest in and have now nearly finished my training to be a mental health nurse( which I have a passion for). And I would like to get qualifications in some thing I enjoy as a hobby and gain some more knowledge and to have another career path if I wanted to...........and so I can keep up with my old man (ex royal engineers). Looking at night courses for the future.

Is there a book on car mechanics that tells you everything you need to know and how to check and test things when they go wrong and how to rebuild them(ok haynes and bentley do ones)but I am talking about books that the trade learn from? just had a started motor pack up and it turned out to be a bad earth and a dodgy reconditioned starter, luckily my dad and neighbour who is an audi mechanic did it in 5 min after me curse word around in the rain.
