I was looking at the price of proper panelbond, and wasn't sure, but Araldite and JB Weld? I have those both on hand so that's good enough for me

That's a good shout for the holes, I hadn't considered that before.

I could, I had heard of people making them functional vents but there isn't much behind there to vent out anyway haha
I could cut the stakes off the fake vent and somehow use that to fill the sunken area but I'm aiming for the smooth look really

I have a Chrysler Crossfire which I've been doing a few styling tweaks on, one of the things I'm not a fan of is the fake vent/strake things on the front wings I've currently got the wings off to repair some rust (not the holes I'm suggesting filling with fibreglass...) and I've taken the vent/strakes off which leaves some holes and a depression in the wing I'd like to keep the scallop in the wing so I'm just thinking of filling the 6 mounting holes, and the inner area circled in red I'm trying to avoid welding them up, I do have some fibreglass and stainless mesh left over from previous projects. I'm thinking for the holes I could mesh over the back of the hole then fibreglass and sand back, fill etc. but would the deeper area be too much to fill with fibreglass or would it work as well? Is there a better alternative I could do?

The instagram algorithm keeps pushing me photos of cool Yaris', then you post a couple as well, makes me feel like I should have kept my T Sport haha
Hadn't clocked it at first but that DB7 is quite a rare example being a GTA

Sorted. Even took the time to wave a wire brush at some of the surface rust on the underside of the boot floor and do a Vice Grip Garage style restoration on it

Thanks Aha yes I did see that, I only recently got watching his videos as a couple of them got recommended to me on Youtube, then lo and behold a KZ400 vid appears Those silencers do look quite nice. I've not looked too much into exhaust options at the moment, my vague idea is to have some typical reverse cone silencers, bit louder than stock naturally, but getting the length right is important to the look for me. Little shorty exhausts just don't look right in my eyes

๐๐ Not yet, throttle cable is a bit of a sticking point at the moment. There's a cable in the US sold specifically for mikuni swaps on kz400s but then a universal cable or even an original rd400 cable shouldn't be too far off in length I think, need to get a cable and see what mods are needed Glad to see you're still working away on the KZ400. I'm the guy that ended up stripping his GS750 down and did the whole thing again because I saw this thread and how neat a job you had done lol. That bike is now sold, was fun to work on! I'd have a look at a universal throttle cable that you have to solder yourself. You've learned a shed load since starting this project, and soldering up a cable is definitely something you could do. Saves delaying the project and potentially buying a cable from the States. Haha damn you've gone back, finished your bike and sold it before I've even got mine running Aha as luck would have it, I've just actually received a throttle cable from the US, looks like it should do the job but I need to do something with the end where it goes into the carbs. Quick update while I'm here, fitted up the HEL brake hoses on the front, nicely made and fit really well Filled the system with brake fluid and started bleeding, need to finish that off when I get a chance A lot of the work has been little detail bits, fitted some mirrors, set up the rear brake pedal play, set the drive chain tension and torqued up the rear axle. I finished off building the carbs back up, been trying to remind myself what all the various ports are for on each carb They look the part on the bike, ready for the aforementioned throttle cables Lastly and most excitingly, the tank and panels have gone off for paint

Judging by what looks a bit like MIG wire near the break, it probably wasn't this backboxes first time

This week in cars started off with an odd noise while driving my gf's 207, turns out both the rear exhaust mounts had broken off the backbox and the rear beam was now supporting most of the exhaust system.. new backbox has arrived so that's my job to fit next. Also been speaking to a mobile welder about the Crossfire, as I need that back on the road to stop me from buying something else

The cold weather has been testing my resolve to get in the garage this week, decided to try and fix the helmet lock tumbler for my bike instead Did discover on the weekend that the Crossfire has about a thousand fixings holding the rear bumper on Which revealed a bit more rust ๐ if I hadn't spent a load of money on the suspension and brakes, it'd probably be a cube by now ๐

Yellow on a 456 is pretty out there but I don't hate it I've got a real soft spot for the 456, wish I could afford one. Despite being on the unloved end of the Ferrari spectrum I'd have one in a heartbeat. Yeah totally agree, the "big" Ferraris never seem to be that popular. A lot of the 456's seem to be automatic which probably puts some off but to me they've got a bit of 355 and even a bit of later 550 styling in there, yet they cost less than even some Mondials now! On my wishlist if the lottery numbers come in..

That Triumph estate looks lovely as well, subtle twist on the usual minilites by going with splits

Is there a certain way to do the Instagram embeds? I thought mine had worked previously with just posting the link but in my post above it hasn't ๐ค
