I couldn’t see a thread for this so if there is one already please free to delete merge.
Me and my good lady want to do the north coast 500 next year. The aim is to mix hotels with driving a camper. And by camper I mean large vehicle with a bed in the back.
I’ve been considering different vehicles with different factors taken into consideration and the Chrysler grand voyager is ticking a lot of boxes.
I’ve read some reviews and while not terrible aren’t perfect. The biggest factor is cost. You can pick one up for £2k then flog it afterwards.
Am I mad? Is this vehicle terrible?

I’ve been looking at 4x4s recently and there are a lot of Volvo XC90s around for very little money. The interiors are lovely, they are big and roomy and pretty easy on the eye. So why can you pick up a nice condition one with fairly low miles for their age? Unless there is something massive wrong with it the seller doesn’t want to disclose Unlike this guy who mentions burning this one to the ground

I love the p100 my wife wouldn’t be keen. Plus the tendency to get it sprayed and lowered would be too great, rendering it useless

I’ve found myself looking at shoguns more and more. Quite taken with them. Lots of space, the interior looks like a lovely place to be too

Wow - thread recovery after around 6mths!! Boxster alloys going in for refurbishment tomorrow at Pro Alloys in Melksham. I am a stickler for originality, but the diamond cut outer lips are a royal PITA to keep looking good and a little road salt will ruin them. I am opting for a slightly differnt look..... Orignal: New look: I would welcome thoughts..... They’ve done a great job there. I think the slightly darker wheel will work better with the cars colour.

Took the car to a garage today. They seem fairly confident after a major clean the oil pressure sensor was leaking.

Have you ever gone looking for a part and try as you might it simply doesn’t exist or is sooo expensive you cannot justify it.
I’m currently looking for a seal for the breather valve on my Audi 80 part number 039103500 if you fancy having a go.
The only place I can find this tiny piece of rubber is Audi tradition and it’s €40!!!!
The one I have is badly damaged but is just about doing it’s job. But has anyone else had this problem

2 x snapped bolts on the cat again! Plus I think the main rear seal has gone.
Does anyone have any experience of repairing this? Is it a garage only job?

What are people opinions on the freelander?
Seems to tick a lot of boxes and the prices aren’t too steep either

This is the million dollar question. There’s a huge variety of plugs and wiring underneath. If I do get a low voltage laptop power supply. Which holes do I jam the power into?

So I took a drill battery and tried all the motors on the seat. Hazaar! They are all work.
The complicated bit will be getting it to work via the controls on the panel

I looked for a Saab 9000 seat as they are apparently the comfiest seat ever produced but unfortunately it wasn’t to be

Today’s plan is to use a drill battery and connect it to the motor to see if there’s any life in there.
It needs to recline slightly before I can sit in it for work. Long term plan is to try and connect it to a power source to use for movement of the seat and maybe heat when the temperature drops
Although I could be back in the office by then. But who cares. It’s a jaaaaaag

Anyone else working from home sitting at their dining room on a seriously uncomfortable dining room chair? I went looking for a decent office chair. You know those cool ones that looking like a car seat, they are sooooo expensive. So queue eBay searches and eventually found a reasonably priced, leather Jaguar XF seat. It’s beautiful. I’m going put it on a swivel base. However it’s got all these electronic controls so I wanted to see if they work. So I can decline etc etc I googled a wiring diagram but it may as well be in another language www.jaguarforums.com/forum/xf-xfr-x250-44/2011-xf-drivers-seat-module-wiring-diagram-187912/I just need to figure out how to get power to it

That looks nice. I think I prefer them in white. The irony is it will probably be mostly brown

The navara is winning it for me atm. Just need to find a good year to avoid the chassis corrosion and have a good look underneath
I can’t understand how the pick ups are more expensive than their 4x4 counters. It’s less car for more money
