I'm going to try a puncture repair kit and then heat shrink over the top of the original tube. Fingers crossed.
I've found 3 hoses with holes in so no wonder the car was struggling. Once cleaned out it should be much better.

Finding a 45 degree reducer elbow 15mm - 10mm seems to be an impossibility so I'm going to repair this instead.

Is it simply a case of pulling the pipe work apart and cleaning it, can it be flushed with something?

So should there be oil floating around this system?
My commute is 10 miles per day sometimes I won;t use the car at the weekend at all.
Is there a away to keep this problem at bay without driving around aimlessly.

I took the air filter apart and there was a piece of plastic floating around loose in there. Not a great start. The more I took apart the more yellow sludge seemed to appear.
When I was pulling part of the air hose from the next joint, I thought it was a rubber hose that would bend. It wasn't and it didn't so now I'm on the hunt for a new Air intake vent hose.
I was having a conversation with my uncle last night, he's said that the short commute I do will cause moisture to develop as the engine isn't getting warm enough. He has also suggested fully synthetic oil as opposed to the semi synthetic 10w40 I've been using.
*Why is there so much oil in this system anyway? *Where is this moisture coming from? *Surely people have short commutes and don't have to deal with this problem regularly?

Great question. Yes I have and they quoted me £356 for a really nice exhaust system. Which I simply cannot afford. I can justify about £100 Daft question maybe, but have you tried phoning your local parts suppliers in regards to getting the parts? We have a few local companies that specialise in just exhaust components and they usually have pretty much everything..

I know what you mean. It's just a shame it didn't look at bit nicer, or look like it fitted in the first place.

Well this all makes sense. I bought 5 litres of oil and managed to get over 1 litre in it until it was up to the mark on the dip stick. Drove to work today, no smoke no problems.
I must have an oil leak somewhere. The underneath of the car is covered in oil so I will need to give it a clean and see where the oil is coming from.
I do need to find a reasonalby cheap exhaust as this one sounds terrible.

So you’re saying that it’s a possibility that the low oil is causing the car to protect itself by controlling the revs?
