So, I'm trying to put together a mega budget air ride setup for my modernish daily (08 9n3 Polo).
I have bags and struts, now I'm looking at Compressors and I'm potentially looking at using a BMW X5 OEM Compressor. Mainly because they're easy to get a hold of and cheap.
However, will it be enough? Will it be mega slow? This is all new to me.
Cheers
Tom

I knew about the Contour But I'd never heard of its uglier and therefore cooler sibling the Mercury Mystique: Tom

Hadn't caught up on the tail end of this thread.
Excellent work, I would 100% recommend getting a Hobby weld bottle. So much better than the disposables and no bottle rental so perfect for hobbyists like us.
Also because of this thread and what you've done to this car Crossfires are a constant search for me on Marketplace and eBay! I can't see it being long until I buy one

Didn't realise they made the R127 so late. This one has been off the road for 5 years.

Pile of out of action cars we have seems to be climbing by the week. So therefore list of stuff to do before I can get on with the Beetle is climbing. I think 2024 is going to be a write off for it, but maybe getting all the other stuff done and having clear decks will mean that in 2025 it can go full body off pan.

Take a break, do some other things you love, come back to it when you have the desire. I've been in the same position with cars, walking away and then coming back worked wonders for me.

Years ago I had a test drive of a Chevrolet Lumina Z31 Coupe. I liked it. I ended up buying a more traditional car - a 1986 Chrysler Fifth Avenue. I'd still like to go back and get that Chevy At this point I think the only American I would only own would be something tragic and FWD 😂 Tom

I don’t see why everybody seems to care so much about watching car based television shows. The technology you grew up with already being redundant by the time you come of age and all that. YouTube fulfils that role these days. It’s actually works much better for it, in that niche market stuff can still manage to get an audience, cos it’s largely made by weirdos for weirdos. Enjoy good content where it can be found and don’t worry too much about where that is. 100% this. Why stick to the old TV format when I can go and find ultra specific content that appeals and I can watch it any time I want. Tom

The yellow Alfasud belongs to my partners cousin. Her mother was also a winning rally driver in the 60/70's over there. It's a odd place for cars, seen all sorts. Wherabouts where you located? That's really cool! It was great to see one, nevermind one being used in anger. We were in St. Marks, but had a Hire car for the fortnight so went all over. Tom
