I suspect you could adapt one to fit just about any conventional points distributor - the main thing to look out for is that the slide-on cam will fit over your existing dizzy's rotating spindle.
I think I will have a go at this as getting rid of the points seems a good step forward to me. I did find a kind of accuspark version but it was quite expensive (about £80) and from the US. A Petronix ? Theres lots of guys on the Lancisti forum who have them and they seem to be the thing but I will have a look at the cheap option first.

I know I keep saying I won't add to my bookmarks without culling a few first, but it's a little Lancia Fulvia which, for some reason, I have a real soft spot for. So...bookmarked! Having been brought up on points, I've never really had an issue with them, but from posts on here it seems to be the quality of the parts that's the problem now, rather than the system. As to the weights, as long as they are appropriately lubricated, kept free and the springs are okay, there's little to go wrong. That module, above, sounds like it could be a good solution? Thanks I will have a look at those modules ...they sound like the thing to use.

Have you looked at the Accuspark range of electronic ignition modules, available on E-bay and the like? They fit neatly inside the distributor, are good value and seem to be pretty reliable (I've had one on the Traveller for several years now). yes I did have a look at these .Its just the kind of thing but they don't make one to fit the marelli distributor on the fulvia. I know they are only £30 ish but I don't really want to take a punt on one that doesnt work. I recon there must also be some issues with the advance as the fulvia one has weights that move and not a vacuum system. I would be happy to be proved wrong but I don't know enough about that stuff. What I would love to suss out is if theres a more modern distributor that with a bit of jigging about could fit and get rid of the little weights bit and have electronic advance etc.

So the fulvia has got 1200HF head with original cams and original solex 32mm carbs. My plan is 35mm solexes which Ive got in my pile of bits. A New Tube manifold thats 4 to 2 to one. As they had on the later fulvias and the 1200HF. Instead of the cast POS thats on at the moment. Electronic ignition, somehow, not sure how to do this properly yet .Any ideas would be appreciated. I cant afford the full on version that is available for the fulvia and theres no easy off the shelf fix for the Marelli distrubutor. Then get rid of the center silencer in the exhaust. Fit the Camagnolos.

So I got the brakes fairly well sorted with nice new pistons and new hoses. Had to put an adapter plate on the bulhead to swap the lefthand mastercylinder to right and got the pushrod extended. Had a little fun and games getting the handbrake working but all was looking good and then I couldnt see why theres so little water in the rad. there were no leaks underneath so thought a head gasket had gone. Great. the car ran ok but I found this: that load of mayonnaise was in the sump. then after a really good look at the head and gasket that crack actually goes the whole way down the side of the head. Then it reappears diagonally in the opposite corner. So luckily I had a seized engine with a good head on it. This other engine by total fluke is blessed with the "140" head which was used on the untra rare 1200HF so of course that had to go on the engine in the car. I put the good cams from my 1200 some new valves were lapped in and new head bolts. Then a little smoothing out of the ports and removing some sharp edges and a bit of mucking about getting the timing set correctly. So the engine is now got a much better flowing bigger valve head. Its currently running on the original cams and the original 32mm solexes. also had to fix this crack.

heres the other fulvia . This ones a series 1 1300 rallye I bought when the missus was away. Just about got away with it after a bit of a bol***king from her. Well you only live once and these don't come up for sale very often. This one has the engine taken out but its too good for a scapper so I will have to work out something cool to do with that one.... oh and its got the Aluminium doors and boot and a fairly ratty ally bonnet. Down side is lots of welding.

Bookmarked and I'll be following this one closely. I miss my Fulvia lots. The plans and work so far looks good, the Campagnolos are stunning. I didn't think I'd see any front subframe mounts more shot than mine, but yours are rather spectacular! Gonna require some careful rebuilding that one. Be well worth it when it's done though I found your thread about the Fulvia when searching the net and was really inspired to dive in and get on with mine. I love my fulvia and its been part of my life for a long time so I have to push on with it. Yes those subframe mounts are going to be a challenge....gulp. Probably will have to get some professional help. My welding is ok ish but thats a bit more than I feel happy to tackle. Though Ive tackled the engine rebuild part on my own and that went well so who knows .!! The campagnolos were a magic find and I'm really pleased with them. I think they replicas but I prefer them to the usual cromodoras that everyone wants for their HF fulvias.

Thanks. Your project certainly looks interesting. Closest I've got to 'exotic' Italian stuff is my first car, a 1973 Fiat 126 (594cc), a Fiat twin-cam powered 1965 Minor, and a pair of late '90s Fiats I currently own, a 1997 Fiat Cinquecento SX and a 1998 Fiat Seicento Abarth. Oh, and I worked on a modern Alfa Romeo Mito today, repairing a damaged rear quarter. Well those are all exotic in their own way. A fiat twin cam 65 minor is pretty exotic in my book

So the plan for the engine. (1) the new gas flowed head with the 35mm solex carbs. (2) Tube exhaust manifold 4-2-1. miss out the middle silencer and through to the rear silencer only. Already done for the brakes to go with the slightly bigger new front cylinders and mastercylinder. Refurbed rear cylinders. Campagnolo wheels. Body....errrrm well theres alot of structural stuff such as the front subframe boxes. sills inner and outer. Arches all round. lots of bits of cosmetic rust. Wiring ...after a mouse nest Theres no wipers no heater fan and the lights don't dip and theres no full outer lights.
