So I was looking for cool pics of cars at the 2022 Tokyo Auto Salon and this jumped out as the coolest thing I have seen in a long time. Time Attack Pike Factory Nissan Figaro....With VTEC S2000 running-gear.Soo so good. Oh and the new Hoonigan car based on a GL Estate is pretty sweet too. I'm just waiting for the inevitable SF Forester now they're sponsored by Subaru. That would rock.

I would really like to see one of these slammed and with no jumbo jet wheels! As a child I had a real thing for the Lagonda, which looking back is pretty weird. They are cool in a 'great concept but terribly executed' way - the details are off like the banana-shaped a-pillar, wide b-pillar and 4x4 rivalling ride height. But with a bit of hit-with-a-stick and bit of bondo they can look pretty neat it turns out... (in a sort of Buick GNC Grand National sort of way)

Somehow reminded me of a DAF? No idea why, I know almost nothing about them! Yeah - if you squint it's sort of halfway between a Daf and a Polski Fiat 126. But bigger

Woke up today thinking 'there aren't enough Van-based Coupés in the world'. Now there's at least one. Roomy, practical two-door pinto-engined silliness. (Any resemblance to the legendary 'Tall Metro' is purely co-incidental)

New RRTV format really great, Not that I am biased (as Max Boyce might have once said) Best Car? It was probably this - my 1970 Saab 99—even when the horn got stuck 'on' on a 10 mile drive home. Comfy, revvy, Never missed a beat. Lovely Triumph engine. All The Chrome. Smelt amazing.

I wired in 6 LED panels from Wickes - each was about £25 each - went for neutral so not too blue / too yellow. Very happy with the result, and I learnt to wire things into the bargain. (I redid the power outlets at the same time. Could maybe use 3 more along the centre of the ceiling for a fuller brightness, but would be v-easy to splice them in should I decide to in the future. Fitted to joists with home-made clips made from scrap wood and steel L Brackets - they just slide into slots and are held in with gravity. Sadly the garage itself, though huge, is pretty useless as it's built into a slope with no membrane between the earth and the cinder blocks so it gets really wet with seepage (beams, floor, walls - all of it, and anything in there between Oct and April rusts or gets covered in mould. Pfft.

Nice little Mercedes van. Said MB90 on the door. LHD and on foreign plates (quite sure where from). Don’t remember seeing anything quite like it before, but I want one now Nick It's one of their Spanish built vans, made at the same factory that went on to make those easy-rusting Mk1 Vitos en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mercedes-Benz_MB100

Rover P4 coupe. Tough one to get right. They have a really deep looking body, made worse by that heavy chrome trim across the bottom. Nailed it! Super Kustom Style

Could someone photoshop an Audi 80 cabriolet? But make it like a tt in length I can. - short bonnet, short wheelbase. It's kinda cute

Latest installment in what I like to call 'the treatment' or the 'Rally-tary' over[soft]land look. The rare and cool Toyota (Scion) BB OpenDeck - a boxy JDM nugget a bit like a Cube but with a small bed at the back, rear-cab access/jumpseats — a bit like a Subaru Brat or Skoda Fun. Tyres, forged Audi Pepperpots, spots, rally flaps, gnarly tyres and Nato Paint - done. Works for the Yeti (Not strictly retro - mea culpa) too. And numerous other boxy hatches/soft-roaders/vans Transit Connect Cube (wheels not big or gnarly enough but you get the gist) Panda Cross Fusion (alt view) Mk1 EcoSport (Brazil) Ignis --- And a weird Panda coupé thing I did. YMMV.

get the turbo version and you can have it mapped to quite silly power !!! edit: although not really cheap enough yet to mess with .. ! back to the fusions Yeah - the Yeti's got a few more years before they are cheap enough [sadface] The top end one with Leather - Larin and Klement spec would be nice. Some dude built a 'sleeper'Yeti with an Audi TT RS drivetrain in it. HP in the 700s.

They ARE everywhere - which makes them such a good candidate for a bit of personality (and cheap to pick up as well) lord13 - yours is looking really sweet - love the spots up there high on the roofbox - really cool. And so what if the box isn't massive - it's rocking the look really well. Here's a Yeti and an Ignis, apropos of nothing other than why not.

Any chance you could try your formula on a Panda 169 variant? I think it might look good, like a smaller version of the Cube Good call -a bit busy this weekend but if I get time I will have a go at it. Mk1 Giorgetto Giugiaro Panda 4x4, of course would also look awesome. So I did have bit of time! If you picked up a 169 "Cross" 4x4 it's mostly done for you - just wrap, mudflaps and rims. Massive improvement over the showroom version. 'factory'

Littlepixel The lift kit grabbed my attention too it looks good on your version. I've now got a roof basket fitted to mine, not as fancy as the one in your picture but it was a £16 win on ebay so can't complain, pictures to follow ( when I remember to ). I was looking at connect headlamps too, they do seem to be similar... The cube is amazing ... and I love roof tents, I just can't afford one right now Would love to see pictures of the roof basket when you get time - £!6 is a total score! I did a bit of a google for Brazilian Ecosport lamps but the only thing I could find was a bulk buy of 50 pairs on AliBaba.com so a bit of a no-no unless we can start a 4x4 Fusion club and get some others interested (kidding -this is too niche) It feels like this 'look' works on a lot of small 'scrappy' cars and vans - Honda HRV, Suzuki Ignis Sports, Kangoos, Yetis, Transit Connects, Doble - anything boxy (ie pre about 12 years ago) and fun seems ripe for small lift, grippy tyres and nato paint
