Wow, thats the black-magic. The glass with green water just nearly knocked me off my chair! The thought of never being soaked in old cv boot grease, or old diesel or gear oil again is almost too tempting... Wonder if I could bathe in it...

I've got a nutsplitter and its saved my derriere once or twice, just watch out as its easy to damage the thread if you get carried away. Of course if youre going to replace it anyway thats not an issue.
Not too helpful now I know but if/when you get it off, a smear of valve grinding paste or similar on the taper will help it grip and prevent spinning on installation. It always helps me...

When refueling was an experience... Great pictures. Plus it was good in the olden times, everybody wore a hat...

All I know is they're ideal for what you describe, and theres a scaffold company near me that has 2 of them. Not for carrying an scaffold though... Might be a bit dearer but I always wanted a Daihatsu midget 2 Or a Daihatsu? I suppose anything kei would be cool but maybe these are the most eyecatching?

Great pictures. I was there too having finally managed to get a saturday free to sneak out so I thought I'd use it wisely! I was very impressed with the quality of driving and variety of cars.
Your pictures are definitely superior to mine!

Just wow. They're awe inspiring, I just love 'em. I really wish there was some cars like this near me and not just bloody dubs. Such variety and quality and mixed-up styles, so much inspiration, so little cash... ;D

Its much less 'crackly' than I expected. A perfect example diesel noise!

I like them, seem to be very cheap at the moment. I've often been tempted myself. Great looking little car IMO and can't be expensive to run.
As mentioned above they're a little handler too, proved by their use in the fwd section of Tiff Needels video 'Burning Rubber' where he shows you how to do all those cool driving moves you always wanted to do.

I bought my Rover 420 back from the lad I sold it to. If I got the chance I'd buy my first car, 78 landy series 3, back in a second!

Some of the original users of the engine in the OP And being dwarfed by a more 'normal' size offering

My grandad had a white 3dr samara with the obligatory crochet rug on the parcel shelf and it was always driven with black leather driving gloves... That was a long time ago now though.

My Rover 420 fits the bill perfectly. If it wasn't so good I wouldn't have bought it twice! Cost me £200, was presentable, full leather and all the toys. Plus the grand daddy underdog of engines the T-series. Even in N/A form it good for about 135bhp. I regularly used to destroy golf gtis and saxos, with a massive grin! Did about 30+mpg and never broke down once.
I suppose you could even get a turbo tomcat for the money. But the mix of space/pace may I suggest a 620Ti or 800?

Saw this last week in Disley! Looked very tidy! He must have been on a epic road trip from Czech Republic. This came past our garage in Whaley a few times last week. Including once he came down the hill and obviously wasn't expecting the traffic lights at the bottom as he locked up and everything went a bit dramatic for a second! On another note I saw this: In buxton last night!!

I've always had a bit of a soft spot for these. I had a Sunny a few years ago and the engine was a revvy dream! In fact this very morning I saw one of these on my way to work. It was absolutely pristine and looked like it had never been driven before this morning! Started the day with a smile...
