	The Avenger may not have been as successful as the Escort, but it is still worth a mention because it spawned the Talbot Sunbeam, and as a result, the Lotus Sunbeam. But that's not the only reason to mention the Avenger. 1800 and 2000cc BRM 16 valve Avengers gave those Ford boys a run for thier money and some argue that with the Avengers 4 link rear axle, it was a better car.
