95 mile Hills of the North Run 17th April

The Durham MG Club Invites you to
The tenth Bobby Shafto Hills of the North Run
On Sunday April 17thth, 2011, at 9.30am
At Weardale Railway, Stanhope, Co. Durham.

This run is open to any and all makes of classic car as well as any MG model. The run will follow a new circular route of about 95 miles through the Hills of the North and the North Pennines returning to Stanhope at around 3.30pm when presentations will be made. The entry fee of £10 covers the cost of the route book and trophies including the furthest distance travelled to the run by an individual. There are plenty of places to stop along the way for a picnic or a pub lunch.

A5 this looks like a good event but I noticed in the Morgans Diary there are a load of events on the same day including one for my club.

17th...Sunderland & District Classic vehicle society, "Drive it day" Herrington Country park (opposite Penshaw Monument)

there is also, on the 17th;
Morris Minor Owners club N.E.Branch, "Drive it day" Bournmoor cricket club,Hought Le Spring

now I'm torn. Hartlepool would be good to attend, as would Penshaw and the Hills of the North Run

thanks for info A5 pandaselecta's mentioned an autojumble on the same day as well. me and a couple of others are planning on hartlepool cos we've not been b4. don't know if anybodys interested but there's some of us from chester-le-street area heading to the ford meet at aliweld on tuesday 5th should be at least 2 cars going possibly 4

I think the SDCVS do is a run in memory of Gary Davison (dad of young RRer Fiestalewis) who passed away a few year ago and will be only meeting at Herrington prior to the run.
I will probably be going to Hartlepool on that day and the following Sunday 24th is a new event by the SDCVS at the Ryhope Pumping station similar no doubt to the end of season meet there.

EDIT - it is in memory of Gary and I cannot believe this is the 5th run. RIP
