Only just found out over on the PCGB forum that tomorrow is Drive it Day.
Something the Federation of British Historic Vehicle Clubs apparently tries to organise anually.
Bit short notice I know but anyone up for meeting down the coast at the usual haunt of the Briar Dene?

I did put a thing about this on the general board a month or so back. Although I'm miles away from you I intend to have a couple of retros going out together tomorrow.

My Dolly's the only car I own, at least the only one that's working, so that's a daily driver too (bought with 40k on the odo just two and a half years back, now showing 80k ) and it was in the car park at the Briar Dene today 'cos I was in there having my Sunday's lunch in the company of a delightful woman who runs a rather fine '63 mini. Had a drive around through Tynemouth then along into Town and back afterwards and the only vaguely old/retro/cla$$ic car that we saw was one of those wedge-shaped TVRs from the '80s, sitting on the side of the Coast Road with two very pee'd-off looking blokes and an RAC man making a pot of tea by the car. At least that's what I thought the steam was about. Weirdly empty day for old stuff on the roads. I see more during the average week day driving about.

I passed by as well on the way to Thornaby last night, we ended up going upwards to Ellington/Cresswell.
Saw a few of the usual suspects, including a Caterham/7 type driving out of the junction a few streets from us, but with driver & passenger wearing skid lids just didn't look right in yeterdays weather!!
