Greater Manchester Sunday BBQ (24/4/11)

Anyone up for this?
We have the yard to ourselves on a Sunday afternoon/evening and with the good weather coming in we figured on having a monthly BBQ, some beers, (and coffee ) some tinkering time for the cars and a chance to meet new folk as well as catch up with the ones we have already met

Me and dave will lay on the BBQ but we need some idea of numbers etc.

Also, does this sunday suit folk or would another be better? what sort of time suits everyone best?

A few of the lads on the Alfa forum I go on have expressed an interest too.

there will be other Sundays but anyone is welcome to call down during the week too.
no set time for BBQ but we'll be there from around 10.30ish to set things up.
we can set a time later in the week. We'll have to try the bbq out anyway. If some want to come later/early evening..then I'm sure we'll still be there.

ooo ooo ooo... Can I come?!?!?!? this is just what Ive been looking for! the chance to meet some people, mostly so I don't look like a total lemon at the gathering, but also because my wife wants me out the house so she can have a lord of the rings marathon with her sister (snore). Plus BBQ for the win!!!

It occurs to me that I will need to know where I'm going. The only thing I know in Leigh is that big lake thing.

I'll let you know how many of the guys from the alfa forum will be along too. I think there are a few 155s with the same issues as Wayne's and a few 156s are going the same way.

I can/will put a sign at the entrance to make it really easy.

Directions. if you put the postode WH7 4HN into google maps it should land you right in the yard with a red pointer
From ST Helens rd you come in newlands rd (right beside "vetcare", look for the sign) and we are down there, we will sort somekind of sign ourselves though aswell

BBQ will be ready and cooking for 2.30 ish and will probably stay on until the evening so folk can wander in and out whenever suits them, afternoon, evening or all day, we are pretty easy

Great stuff. Count me in then. I only have one dietary requirement for a bbq, lots of meat. I will make sure to bring some supplies! Looking forward to it!
