Yeah that looks a great colour! Suits it nicely (well once the clear is on of course). Shame it hasn't turned out exactly as you wanted, but it will still look great I bet and undoubtedly be a head turner ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) If the roof still bothers you after a while, like Dom says you could metalflake it! Or as you suggested fit a vinyl roof...... white vinyl! ![8-)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/cool.png) Did you decide to keep the blue interior you had for it?

Imight actually have a black one for it, need to go check the lockup... The blue is very dark and might work with this green. This is not the green it was supposed to be! But it does seem to suit it well. Its Vauxhall Rio Verde Mica (supposedly has a hit of pearl in it) so whould look OK.
Wish I'd kept the vinyl roof finisheing trims from when I removed the old vinyl roof now. I had two sets and either chucked them or gave them away as I hate vinyl roofs.

Vinyl roof - last resort. Whats the score with the roof buddy?

The problem with the roof is twofold. Firstly due to hurrying and poor light in the garage (nothing beats natural light for spotting imperfections) I have orange peel in the primer. So the basecoat then shows this up, but you can't do anything about it without taking the basecoat off and sanding back the primer. 2nd problem is where the vinyl roof trim was and I've filled it, looked fine in primer, even came out OK in a guide coat but with the basecoat on it shows up as filled. Not sure how I cocked that up as I thought I'd got that nice. Theres also some odd sanding marks in the primer in a few places. Meh. It'll look OK for a driver. It'll probably look more "authentic" with imperfect paint. I'll pretend thats the look I was going for. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)

Use the pain that's on the roof as a base for another coat. Flat it back to curse word and spary it, there should be enough paint already on it to hide and imperfections

Ah, then theres the tops of the wings, the rear scuttle, and anywhere else its not spot on. By the time I've reprepped and reprimed and repainted it it will be like August and then I'll be moaning that the new paint doesn;t match the old or I've got fade lines or something.
