We've only done about 9,000 in 2 and a half years and it has been the main family transport. I've just replaced the voltage regulator to solve a charging problem and fitted a reconned power steering pump (these are very reliable - it had to be replaced because I broke the reservoir removing the alternator).
Body work is ok but has a few scratches, supermarket trolly dings, corner bumper scrapes as you would expect for a town family car. RUST - offside front wing at the front edge of the wheel arch - this could be a replacement panel that was retro fitted with shoddy rustproofing - an easy repair for the average bodger or bang in a new wing (they bolt on). Bonnet has a slight dent which needs pulled and the leading edge at the bottom of the grill is missing a bit of paint - will need treated, proofed and touched up. Sills ok and underside very clean. Exhaust is recent - timing belt fitted about 3 years ago - maybe about 11,000 miles.
Sadly there is only one key and fob.
This car was owned by a family friend who bought it from new to get to their weekend place in the HIghlands. He (he passed away) was a professor of mathematics and maintained the car at Murray Volvo in Edinburgh. Unfortunately, his wife lost the history file but I'm sure Volvo will be able to pull it off their files. Since owning it, I have had the car serviced twice by my local independent garage and have worked on it myself.
There is no tow bar.
In two minds what to do about it - I either need to shift it pronto or will tax and hold onto it. If any RRs are intersted then I'm offering it at £1150 for a quick sale...there are a few for sale at the moment - one with 140k on the clock which is up for £3450 (he'll be lucky). You can pick up bog standard 850s and shagged T5's for peanuts but a low miles AWD is a rare and very practical car. It's also a hoot to drive and is a license loser....25-30 MPG on a run - in town 15 if I drive it 20 if the missus drives it.
Photos to follow after I've given it a polish!
