1999 BMW E46 323SE (2.5) manual.
MOT'd 2012 (will find exact date and post up).
4 months tax.
Being the SE it has all of the toys such as:
Nice (standard) 17" alloys.
Reversing sensors.
Heated seats which are mega in the winter.
Switchable traction control.
Four electric windows.
CD multi changer.
Colour coded door handles etc.
Reasonable bit of history with a fairly recent engine service and not long had a new tyre. Oh, had a new caliper and the brakes done earlier this year too.
Superb fun to drive, in my (admittedly fairly limited) experience of BMWs these engines are just right. It's a quick car but not bad on fuel and it's an easy car to drive slowly which I do as I'm too old to be tearing around.
As I say great fun to drive and also it hasn't been chav'd up with garish/silly stick on tat.
Known faults:
Dent in bottom of n/s/r door. Some bubbling on a couple of arches, n/s/f being the worst. ABS light on (was told this a common thing and a service light tool will knock this out. Apparantly due to a wire under one of the front seats that's easy to be pulled by people's feet). The central locking to close the car has to be done from the button between the seats, there's a bloke on eBay who can fix this for £70) and there's the odd small mark etc on the bodywork.
Sometimes there's a light sort of rattle from either the o/s/f or o/s/r wheel area, I'm damned sure this is something to do with the previous owner having the brakes replaced, will try and get it looked at if I can. The brakes work fine though so it's not bothered me too much.
The faux wood door trim has come adrift on the o/s/r door trim (inner) but will sort that if wanted.
So a decent enough car that's nice to drive, taxed and tested and will do someone a good turn. Any inspection more than welcomed, if you lives miles away ask anyone you like to come and look at it for you and report back in private. I have nothing to hide and I don't do people over.
£1,395 £1,000, car is in Chester, Cheshire and close to the motorway network. It's on sale until a deposit or full payment is received. Could (possibly) deliver depending on distance but it's not turning a wheel until you've paid for it first!
For sale because I now have a more 'sensible' (i.e boring) daily runner.
*I'll take and upload some better pictures soon as.
