No easy way to start this thread, so the photos will do most of the talking...
The autotrader ad that caught my eye, 88,000miles full service history etc...
Front and rear upper braces and a TTE front lower bumper.
Import plates, shortened aerial and removal of some badges. Note the ride height!
Photoshop of my plan.
Roofrack.
Tein Basic coilovers.
Rare Vitz option armrest and bike grip handbrake.
Rare TRD backbox.
Got rid of the candle-like bulbs.
T Sport grill
Just before I had to sell the Tein coilovers as cash was scarce.
Coilovers gone and putting the stock suspension back on.
Rare Vitz option LED tail lights and third brake light.
Hilux Vigo fan washer jets.
Photoshop of wheel choice.
Got some wheels, but decided they weren't quite right so sold them on.
New suspension time!
Roofbox from the old Saab 9000 CSE, which was so long it went front the rear bumper to the front of the scuttle panel!
New wheels!
Some rare Vitz parts that set me back £30 for the lot (try finding a Vitz being broken in the UK! That bumper will set you back £300+ with VAT on top of that!)
Non slip dash mats, rare Vitz option dash pockets, Toyota option headunit fascia, iPod headunit
Strut tower trip caps cut for the brace.
New tyres.
Test fit.
Heavy modification needed to get the spigot rings to fit.
Finally getting somewhere...
The hole in the bumper was the previous owner who imported it fitting a fog light. DIY plastic weld!
Whilst that went off for paint...
And finally at the end of June
All within exactly two years of having the car. I am so pleased with it, to say it's my first car, it's nippy (68bhp 998cc, being the most powerful n/a production 1.0) economical, can easily get 55mpg and push 62mpg on the motorway holdign at 70mph.
