It's a soapbox derby thing but on grass, very few rules and I don't really thing anyone has thought of the consequences... however...
I have had a look for designs and this one seems simple and easy to build so I basically have 4 weeks to build an offroad version of this:
The problem is the tyres need to be 50mm wide min and 100mm ground clearance so I was thinking 20x2.25" BMX wheels all round
I was going to use generic BMX forks and standard brakes on the rears, probably differential braking too.
Frame would be steel and maybe a Kart seat?? The budget is as cheap as possible of course...
Any ideas, comments or thoughts??
