I'm selling my little Skoda runabout as the insurance is about to expire, and i'm off work for 6 weeks now so i'm not really using it, so the plan is to sell up and find something new for when I go back to work.
It has MOT till 22nd May 2012 - when I bought it in March this year it actually had an MOT till October. When I took it to the garage to have some work done they wrote it in the wrong book and put it through an MOT! When I pointed out their mistake, they waived the MOT fee, but agreed to put a fresh 12 months MOT on it if I had the work done that it needed to pass - a pair of brake hoses and a replacement n/s/f CV gaiter at a cost of £120.
It currently has tax until the end of September but this will be going back to the DVLA tomorrow so I don't fall foul of their stupid new laws.
It has only done 49k and I have some history to back up the low mileage. It drives really well, not too sluggish as you might expect, it has the 1.3 MPI engine which I think is 67bhp. I've done nearly 3000 miles in it and it has been a fantastic little motor, I can't rate it highly enough.
It has power steering, central locking (works on all doors), and a brand new Panasonic CD player. The sunroof works as it should and doesn't leak.
Interior is mint, no wear whatsoever on seats, very tidy.
It is good on fuel, does 32-34mpg.
These are the bad bits;
*It's a Skoda - therefore, it has RUST. Predominantly on the rear arches (show me a Felicia that hasn't succumbed to this), also some on the o/s sills, drivers door, front wings and tailgate. Nothing structural though.
*Large-ish dent in the front passenger door, no broken paint just a nice big dent.
*Recently it has started making a knocking noise when turning left, I haven't investigated but i'm told it is probably suspension related - the top mounts on these commonly wear out so could be that. I have still been driving it and it is still perfectly useable.
*Passenger door handle does not open from the inside - think it's just something that has come unhooked, will investigate when I get chance - still opens from outside.
*Only one key.
I'd like £325 with the new CD player included (cost £50 a matter of weeks ago), or £300 with the standard radio cassette re-fitted.
