I'm driving to Berlin tomorow and ive lost my beam benders, has anyone used insulation tape? Is it legal? and will the heat crack the lens? Here is a pic of a car which will never require beam benders-

I have seen plenty off people use tape on headlights and it works ok, it might be a bit of fun trying to get the glue off later.

Running gaffer tape for 2 months now.
It is still stuck to the lamps. So it works properly.

Insulation tape is fine but remember the beam pattern is most likely upside down and back to front So the tape needs to be down and left of centre.

Gav, stop being a pansy...you've got the fire extinguisher and in my book you've done enough! Now, with these silly modern bright lights that blind you no matter what the alighnment, i'm sure your faded originals will be ok....if not then curse word to them?
