1998 Transit 100LWB 2.5 Di with five speed box.
This is the 'heavyweight' six stud single rear wheel model, best carrying capacity of all Transits I believe.
MOT'd April 2012.
Taxed to end of August, possibly September, I'll double check that.
Side loading door.
Power steering.
Full length roof rack.
Ladder on rear door.
'Solid' (i.e no windows) rear doors.
Heavy duty towbar and working electrics.
Recent new starter motor.
Starts first time everytime.
Unusually for a Transit one key does all the locks!
Two keys come with it.
Drives as Transits do: not the fastest van in the world but will do 70mph no danger.
Bit noisy over about 50mph (not engine noise I hasten to add) never really driven one that wasn't.
Bodywork is the usual story: usual scabs/marks/dings/comedy paintwork 'repairs'. etc.
Rear door handle needs replacing, can still be used but one lug snapped.
Driver's door has to be opened from the inside if you lock it from the outside.
Blooming useful old tool though and being the LWB/single rear wheel it can carry stacks of weight/big items.
I got it to do a couple of jobs which is managed admirably and I've got a long run booked in at the weekend. It's also in daily use as I love driving these Transits.
Be a cracking rally barge type thing, or for the odd jobber, bodger or 'man and van' type capers.
If you couldn't make a few quid out of doing some sort of work in it there's something wrong with you!
(More pictures to follow)
£795/offers. I don't especially want a part-ex or swap but I could be convinced if the right motor came along. If you have a Mondeo, Vectra B, Escort or Laguna I don't want a deal though.
Spotted something I like on here so would prefer the cash.
{cough, E36 convertable, cough}
It's in Chester, Cheshire.
Important:
I don't have an especially infinite tolerance to morons, 'txt tlkrs' or 'how much for cash' types.
If you want to make an offer that's good with me but I'm not going to take you seriously unless you're stood in front of me with money in your hands. Talk is cheap and if you've asked me what my bottom line is you've probably asked scores of other vendors the same thing.
Live miles away and therefore think you should have a discount? Don't humiliate yourself by asking me. Either find something nearer to where you live or save up the train fare.
If any of that has offended you and you feeling dropping me a pm to say 'OMG i woz gunna av that and give u £1500, but u can shuv it up ur bum' or some such rubbish then please feel free to do so. I'll only sit here and laugh before deleting your pm. Oh, and no, I'm not holding it for weeks on end until you cash your giro.
So there you are, a reasonably priced, nice little earner-mobile. No frills (except some of the bodywork!) and will do someone a good turn.
Sensible and polite question answered sensibly and politely.
Any inspection more than welcomed, if you live miles away ask anyone you like to inspect it on your behalf and report back on here, I have nothing to hide and don't do people over.
I'm very easy to deal with if you're not an idiot and I'm sure that will be confirmed by those on here who've dealt with me before.
