We have a Disco 1 3dr V8 for disposal. I believe it is an early model circa 1990. It owes us £350, bought to repair rather than get our D2 muddy, circumstances have changed due to a house fire and the timings just not right for me to weld it up.
Best suited as a V8 donor or a sound chasis/running gear for a project. £300 should be a fair price?
The car is complete, though the interior isn't good, it's cosmetically challenged with terminal rust to the boot floor, sills, front footwells and both front inner wings, 175k ish with a few clunks underneath for good measure, you'll also be needing a starter motor (tis dodgy) and steering box if you want to fix it - hence why it was purchased as a fixer upper! Both the Starter and Steering Box are availible through members on here via the wanted section (thank you to those that offered but circumstances are now different!)
Good points - 3.5 V8 on SU carbs. LPG system which is all there, it switches over ok but won't rev so is probably out of gas. LPG tanks and petrol tank are underneath at the back and appear to have been well fitted in terms of protection from off roading. Engine sounds healthy and drivetrain and chassis all look to be in good condition. Certainly it has done some off road work as there is a make do steering guard and recovery point.
Will make a great donor or rip the body off and replace with something else. Please don't expect something shiny - there is probably 5 long days worth of welding in this for a good amatuer.
