well, its a subaru justy GX AWD. basically, a 4x4 suzuki swift (it even says suzuki on the VIN tag). its the 1.3 8v engine, so much tax cheapness and running frugality.
milage is 70k.
its full time 4wd, viscous driven, which splits power about 80/20 to the front as standard, but then varies this as you loose traction. this is why I was gunna keep it for the winter, as the roads round here were really bad the last two years. manual gearbox. you can also swap it over to permanent 2wd (fwd) by pulling out a locking in on the bottom of the gearbox, if you so desire.
afaik (not got the v5 back yet) its a two owner car. his gran, then when she died about 5 years ago, my mate. its in pretty tidy condition (especially inside), theres a few superficial car park dents and scratches, mostly to the bumpers (which are ill fitting so appear to have been knocked), but what do you expect for a 13 year old shopping trolley really. paint is looking a bit flat, but ile give it a wash and polish up before it goes.
its a 5door, your luxury accutrements gained by the GX spec appear to be electric mirrors (but keep fit windows?!) 2x airbags, erm, a rear wash wiper, a subaru branded radio cassette, and well thats it really!
the reason I can by it is head gasket failure. he had a stone go through the rad, which he replaced, so the rad is brand new. unfortunately, by the time he realised what had happened it was too late, so although replacing the rad has cured the leak, its still loosing water, although its not mixing fluids, its dumping it into the exhaust it seems. it uses about 1.5L/100miles. I have here in front of me a brand new head gasket kit for it, I'm just waiting for the cambelt to turn up then itll all be fixed. if you want it WITHOUT this done at a lower price to save some money doing it yourself, speak now or it will be sold as a fully fixed and working vehicle.
the battery was replaced last winter so is also pretty new, and all 4 tyres are quality brands (pair pirellis/pair yokos) with plenty of tread.
I'm going to run it in for test this week as its currently out. I'm confident it will got through no probs, I cant see a thing wrong with it, so it will be sold with 12 months MOT and 6 months tax for the asking price if you want to haggle, the cash will get cashed in.
