Well, after yesterday, I find "the itch" becoming impossible to ignore. I need something old/silly/interesting/different back in my life.
So...my reliable, surprisingly quick, comfortable "daily" has to go.
It' s a 2003 ZR160, which has the 1.8 VVC fitted. It's currently got around 57k on the clock, and has been looked after very well. Trophy blue, which looks awesome when shinyified; 5 door, so it's family friendly; the air con all works, so Mrs.RetroRideUser can be kept happy.
It's got 18" Arospeed 10 spokes on, which do suit the car, even thought they're a little big for my tastes. Would sit a bit better if it was dropped, but the ride is surprisingly good for what it is. It handles awesomely, I was really surprised.
Fitted with a Pipercross Viper filter, which are in excess of £200 when new. Gives it a very good sound when you bury the loud pedal. It's got a nice aftermarket (not sure what) exhaust on, which looks pretty standard and isn't loud or intrusive on tick over, but sounds good when opened up.
Fitted with a smaller TF leather wheel, which looks pretty factory but makes a big difference, believe me! Also has a BRM gear knob, which is nice. Blue and black half leather buckety type seats, which are really comfortable, but hold you in pretty well too. Some wear on the driver's bolster, but that's standard Rover fodder.
MOT is until May 2012, tax until end of September 2011 (I'll confirm this later).
Ideally I'd like an MX5, but I'd consider anything old/fun/interesting. Worst I can say is no. Don't really have any money to put into anything else, but I would do a straight swap or PX with money my way.
Feel free to try me, worst I can say is no.
