Immaculate inside and out.
We searched high and low to find a van in this kind of condition, and we paid a premium to get it. Unfortunately the oil pump packed in last week whilst on the motorway and as such the van is now a non runner.
The engine was stopped immediately however we suspect there has been internal damage due to oil starvation.
On the plus side, the turbo still moves freely and with very little play, so that should be fine.
We don't really have any need to keep the van, and therefore are offering it up for sale as a non runner.
You can pick up a bare engine on ebay for 200-300, and would then just need to swap all of the ancillaries over.
This van also has the bonus of having the fold flat factory rear seat conversion, which makes it ideal to use not only as a workhorse, but also great to ferry the kids in when you need to!
Engine - Non runner due to oil pump failure. Recently replaced parts include Alternator and oil cooler
Gearbox - Perfect.
Clutch - Perfect
Brakes - Perfect, new discs and pads on front couple months ago
Tyres are all legal and in good condition
Bodywork - The best Astravan you will find, i Guarantee it! one tiny tiny pin dent in one of the rear van panels, barely noticeable but i want to be 100% honest here. I have been asked many times if the van has been resprayed, thats how good the body/paint is. If you think I'm exaggerating, please, come and look for yourself!
Interior - One small split along the seam of the drivers seat. Can be sewn up in minutes if it bothers you! Standard Stereo fitted. Keep fit windows.
Overall this van is Pretty much perfect in every way, with the exception of the engine of course! For a couple of days graft you could have yourself the perfect van, we simply do not have the time or need to do this, so we are offering it up for sale for someone else to get a bargain.
A van in this condition with the extra seats, would normally cost you around £1450. I am offering this up for £550. and for an extra £150 i will include 11months tax!
