Afternoon all,
Crucial Info:
Volvo s40
1.8 Petrol
MOT: June 2012
Tax: End Nov 2011
Mileage: 140k
Location: Manchester
Price: £500
Playing the part of dutiful son, I'm selling my dad's Volvo S40 on his behalf.
He's got himself a 9-5 Turbo estate and the S40 is now very much surplus to requirements. I've been borrowing it these last 4 weeks whilst I had some work done on my Mk1 MR2 (also now for sale!) and it's been utterly, utterly faultless. It's not the wildest ride in the world and is obscenely grey from top to bottom, but I needed reliability for a month and that's what I got.
Air-con (working!), alloys, electrics, factory CD and tape player - nice place to let the miles drift by.
There's a huge fat folder of receipts, bills, history to go with it. It needed a new caliper and headlight for it's MOT which it otherwise walked through no problem. 2 weeks later it also needed a new clutch slave cylinder, which it has had fitted.
It's had recent tyres, plugs (the expensive long-life kind) and general attention.
It now runs perfectly. Honestly, perfectly.
No rust, like you'd expect, and the only external blemish I can see is a crack in the front bumper from when he slid very gently into a neighbours towing hitch in the winter snow about 2 years ago (it needed a new numberplate at the time).
I'l upload pictures when I take them tonight, but any questions just give me a shout. He was originally advertising it at £600 with the tax, but because I've borrowed it so long a) there's less tax than there was and b) he just wants it gone, so I figured £500 was more than fair!
Viewings welcome any time, just drop me a PM and I'll give you my number.
Thanks
