This van is far from pretty, the bodywork is six different shades of grey (ex BT) the bonnet has two dents in it, there is some surface rust in the usual places, the interior is a bit worn after a decade of hard graft but it's a strong old workhorse.
Its had a lot of money spent on it recently. At the last M.O.T it had £400 worth of welding, the cills were welded two years ago and are still solid. The Cambelt was replaced about six months ago with a reconditioned head at the cost of £430 and had new pads recently.
Its just gone past 114k and drives well although it could do with a set of new glow plugs as the current ones are on the way out. The tyres are good, its taxed and M.O.T'd untill the end of December. The back doors have a Maple slam lock so it'll take more than a hammer and screwdriver to get in!
The engine is the 1.8 non turbo diesel 55.
The roofrack and tube are included with the van (although the tube has no end caps) that's got to be worth £100 alone??
Little niggles...
* Reverse lights don't work, bad earth?
*Steering wheel is worn
*Door cards are a bit ratty, speaker covers are siliconed on!
*Speakers vibrate slightly
*it's a bit noisy at high revs which solves the speaker issue as you won't be able to hear them
So yeah, it's a workhorse that's had money spent in the right places and will go on for another 100k
This van is still in daily use and will be until this Friday.
