Model: Mercedes C230
Year: 1996/7
Mileage: 28000, yes, 28000
Tax: November
MOT: early 2012
Location: Berkeley, Glos
Price: £200
Good opener, right?
Anyway, the Merc is up for sale complete with its fantastic gathering Artwork!
1996/7 P-plate C230 non-compressor. Green paint, beige seats and a dented boot (I may have kicked the curse word out of it anger).
I'm the second owner. it was owned by an old boy before me who sold it as he gave up driving. It's only covered 28000 (1000 in my ownership) and I have all the old mots to back it up.
It's okay bodily apart from the boot-lid and the passenger side which has the most horrific attempt at a paint repair I've ever seen. Oddly for a W202, it has no rust.
Now the BIG problem.
It's got an electrical issue which drops the gearbox into 'limp mode' whenever the car comes to stop. This means the car will not go over 20mph until it either cools down or decides it likes you again. It's a hateful fault.
Due to the value of the car and the fact my parents have very kindly donated their CDX diesel Vectra to me I haven't bothered to try and get it fixed (well, that's a lie. I took it to SLPagoda and changed a load of sensors and cleared all the faults, the issue remained).
I want scrap money for it because if no one buys it that's exactly where it'll be going. And while I hate it, it would be a shame to frag such a low mileage engine.
So, £250 with the tax, £200 without.
You can drive it away (although you'll need to bring a battery) as long as you don't plan to stop at any lights/junctions/children in the road.
Er, yes. There you go.
Bye now!
Chris
