Located between Swansea and aberdeen but I'll deliver anywhere in the uk for a price.
Right, not for sale quite yet,be about 2-3weeks hence why it's in here as often retroriders seem to have to wait for money or it's too far away so I've answered both of those dilemmas!!!!
Pretty much standard transit fare, reliable, bombproof, strong, huge inside being lwb and semi hi top(best combo IMO) but externally rusty.
I only bought this in June to solve an accommodation crisis and whilst I'm in Aberdeen I've been living in it,but I've now got a newer van for the same purpose as I really need the bodywork sorted on this to even get on a site when the winter turns sour and as I only need a van til next June,it's silly to put £££ into getting it sprayed.
Now the van, just hit 100k on my trip back from Aberdeen last night which once again it completed faultlessly,600 miles in one hit only stopping at stoke to refuel.
Of course it used no oil or water.
The timing belts been done as has a wheelbearing, the latter in my time of ownership.
Starts first time everytime on the button, smokes a tiny amount on startup but not at all when running, never been veg oiled but apparently needs nothing to do so?
It's 1998 vintage with a bit of paperwork, radio code (handy!!!) receipts for the aforementioned belt and some other work.
Its been faultless IMO and is just what one of these vans should look like,a bit used but perfectly serviceable!!
The price is what I gave,I've added tax,a wheelbearing and fully insulated the walls of the van(best move I made on this,so much quieter).
While I remember it has a bulkhead also.
Rust wise,guess what?
If you guessed arches, bottom of the wings and bottom of the rear doors you either know your transits or are very perceptive, must say under the bonnet looks very clean and tidy, the teeniest leak of oil from somewhere by the dipstick but easily the driest di I've ever seen,it's pretty quiet for one too, possibly due to the low miles?
It has an sld which works great,2 keys which operate everything, power steering, armchair with lumber adjust and being a previous cleaning company/chippies van is very clean in the back, seats have minimal wear too.
It's a big shame the bodies not prettier as it's perfect for me otherwise but I've taken a Nissan vanette on in p/x for a steal on my Ka so this is sadly surplus.
Only mechanical "issues" are a slight wobbling when going uphill in reverse, although every transit I've owned did this, think it's an engine mount or something and it may need lower arm bushes as sometimes it feels a touch vauge, again its been like this since I owned it and I've put 8000 miles on it in 5 months so it's not too bad.
One tyres dead on the outside but it will be replaced before I go back up so no problem there.
I'm still living in it right now but that should change by the end of the month when I get the Nissan mot'ed.
Financially this is a bit of a no brainer, pay £550,do what you want for 3 months, move stuff about, house clearances ,scrap, gardening, your own building projects, shove £118 on tax,use it for another 6 months til the ticket runs out, drive to the scrappy and get £250 back for it,trouble free motoring, for £50 a month!!!!
Last time I checked it was £300 to hire a vw caddy for a week!!!you could put a caddy inside this!!!
I'm tempted to fill up the front arches, can them up diamond white, buff the whole van and
get £750 for it but times against me sadly hence the absolute bargain price.
Only photo right now is this, but picture a typical white transit!!!
P/x always considered,be realistic though as I am,most people are on here to be fair and no rat look stuff unless it can be put back,ie stickers and cut springs fine, deliberately rusted panels and Matt black paint a no no.
More pics in the morning, thanks for viewing.
