New clutch, slave cylinder,thrust bearing fitted when MOT'd.
New rear shocks approx 10 mths ago
Polybushed rear end about 3mths ago.
Tyres all ok (between 3 + 4mm Pirelli P6000's)
All Alloys immaculate -- no kerbing or marks
K+N 57i fitted
EW PAS etc all works
I have run this little rocket for just under 2 yrs now and have never been let down by her at all. Starts 1st time every time even through the last 2 bad winters. If driven sensibly she will return over 40mpg but obviously this can drop if the loud pedal is pressed -- and does she beg for it to be pressed !! and when you do she flies!!( as the guy in the Type R found out last week ;D) .
Bodywork is OK -- to be honest, but the rear drivers arch has rust on it and the tailgate has some bubbles along the bottom edge, quoted £150 to sort and make mint yesterday . The rest of the paintwork is really good and polishes up well -- Red was always the best colour on the S.
The front lights have been converted to clear indicators and has clear repeaters on each wing ( I hate the Tango Orange ones that are standard fit)
Interior is good -- NO RIPS OR BURNS at all .The plastic cover is missing from the right side of the drivers seat where the backrest pivots bit it all works OK and this has never bothered me . Original stereo still fitted but has decent kenwood speakers on back shelf and replacement kenwood components in the front doors (where originals where so no extra holes) never really wnted to give theives a reason to break in to it It just needs a decent head unit ( has power supply to boot area for Amp if you want to put one in -- last owner had one in I think ??)
I have an A4 folder with history from all previous owners and this does contain service book and original handbook/folder with stamps from Ford dealers up to about 90k
Under the bonnet is fine, I have fitted a new idle control valve , new heater control valve , new plugs and gave it a service last year . Have only done about 6-7k since then so wont need anything doing for a while. Always run on the correct oil ( Ford Spec Helix) and never had any issues with cooling system.
All in all a top little motor -- great fun to drive -- Very Reliable -- just a couple of little things to let it down from being mint .
Only selling it because I have just bought a Mint 1972 Hillman Avenger and would like to recoup some money -- wouldn't be selling if I hadn't been given the opportunity to buy another Avenger and it REALLY IS A RELUCTANT SALE but she has to go)
